I'm Happy You're here!
Whether you’re a photographer or a family looking for the perfect spot to take portraits, there are so many beautiful locations to explore in Atlanta, Georgia! Maybe you see photos online and wonder where in the world they were taken! Well, here are some beautiful photography locations in Atlanta!
Arabia Mountain
This location in Lithonia, GA – is perfect for fall sessions! August-November is my favorite time of the year and if you like those moody portraits with your hair blowing in the wind, this place could be for you! This location is huge! There are so many beautiful and unique spots to photograph and as a bonus, children have so much space to run around and be free! Usually in the fall, there are small ponds located all over for kids to play in and it makes the session more interesting! In the summer, the flowers are blooming and it is perfect for picnics! And in the fall, the cloudy skies make for very moody and emotive portraits.
Green Meadow Preserve
Do you love a big field of grass? Located in Acworth, GA- This place is endless. Everyone is free to enjoy the scenery and walk around until we get the perfect moments for a shot! This place is great for a family picnic. Do your thing and I’ll just follow you around with a camera!
Red Top Mountain
The perfect place for both rocky terrain and water! Located in Acworth, GA -Lake Allatoona. You are sure to love this location! The waters are calming and work wonders on keeping babies relaxed! I have had the privilege of doing some of the sweetest, most relaxing sessions here!
lake Lanier
Ok, I may be a little biased, but this truly is a beautiful photography location in Atlanta! It will look like you’re at the Bahamas or a private beach in Costa Rica. What else is there to say! This location, along with Jekyll Island, is the closest we will get to a real beach in Georgia! It has actual little waves! And it is beautiful 🙂
High Shoals Falls
Don’t you just love this beautiful, vibrant place! If you love waterfalls like I do, this place in Dallas, Ga is a must! Is there a hike? NO! It takes about 4 minutes to get to the waterfall from the parking lot! There’s a tiny little cave that can make your portraits look so majestic! You will look like you are in a mini rainforest! And, when standing right in the middle, you are between the waterfall and a beautiful creek! It’s a very peaceful location and many families opt to let kids swim during and/or after the session for unique and exciting portraits! You could get the best kind of photos if you wanted to start with outfits and then switch to playing in the water! We can bring all kinds of fun things to your session here. Bring pool floats, have a picnic, we can bring baby toys for a milestone session, nothing is ever off limits.
Acworth Beach
Bring the crew to the beach! Lake Acworth offers a wonderful variety of spots for photos. There is the lake front/sand, A bridge/dock, and many grassy areas with unique trees. And beware, we may get a surprise visit from those sweet but hilarious little ducks roaming around! Fun session idea – bring everything you would normally bring to the beach, set up a tent/picnic, and build some sandcastles with the kids, throw on some shades, play in the water, eat some ice cream, have so much fun and I will capture it all 🙂
Roswell Mill Waterfall
Love a big waterfall? Located in Roswell Ga. This is a sight to see! The best time for a session here is in the fall and on a weekday. Weekends tend to be crowded because it’s just that amazing! There’s n hike to the waterfall. There is about a 7-minute walk from the parking lot. Many clients also love the bridge! It’s a must and usually photo’s on the bridge are taken before the waterfall!
Vaughters Barn
This location is about 5 minutes from Arabia Mountain! If you are interested in a session with two different locations used, to give your portraits some diversity, consider the two for a full session! It features are unique and the barn and pasture gives that country feel!
